I grew up in Cape Elizabeth Maine, graduated from the University of Maine at Orono with a degree in Speech Pathology and moved to Boston upon graduation to explore other opportunities. I joined R.M. Bradley in the commercial division, became licensed and worked as a site selector for a company specializing in finding sites for franchises around New England. I then joined the Stride Rite Corporation real estate division and choreographed their move to a new corporate headquarters in Cambridge. It seemed appropriate to move into residential sales in Cambridge which I did for the next 8 years.
Maine beckoned in 1994 and I joined Coldwell Banker as Relocation Director and built a successful department working with many corporate clients to assist their employees arriving or departing the area. I have an appreciation for both urban living and the slower pace of living in southern Maine.
I have been a board member of Casco Bay Sunrise Rotary since 1995 participating in many local and international projects. I was a corporator for the Sweetser School involved in fundraising to support their excellent programs for a number of years.
Interests include travel, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, golf, theater, Maine Real Estate and adding to my antique globe collection!

Born and raised on the island of Islesboro, some 2 ½ miles from the mainland, I grew up exposed to the complexities and isolation of island living. For those who do not know our island community, it is located in Penobscot Bay, a twenty-minute ferry ride from Lincolnville Beach in one of the premier boating areas on the Atlantic coast. Dark Harbor, on the southern end of Islesboro, is dotted with fine Shingle Style summer cottages and elsewhere there are antique Capes, saltwater farms and contemporary homes, all full of the many wonderful and diverse people that I know or have known. My family owned a large General Store there, which I bought and operated for many years and experienced meeting people of varying backgrounds and personalities.
I graduated from the University of Maine and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, prior to serving in the US Army, and became a licensed Broker in 1961. For 48 years I have sold Land (waterfront and inland), Estate Properties, Islands, and a wide variety of Residential Homes and Commercial Real Estate.
My wife Diane and I live on the island in a converted 1872 Post and Beam Barn and enjoy cruising the area in our 36 Jarvis Newman Picnic boat with our children, grandchildren and friends. Let me help you, both Buyers and Sellers, in and about the Penobscot Bay area, to either purchase or sell a property. Experience counts!

After many years of practicing real estate law (most recently as Vice President and General Counsel at Fannie Maes American Communities Fund), I now find that I have the good fortune to work in the field that I love ---Maine Residential Real Estate --- while living in beautiful Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Like many others, during my travels to the Maine coastline, I dreamed of living life the way it should be. Today its a dream realized. I am a native New Yorker having grown up in the Hudson River valley, and a graduate of Fordham University with a B.A. in Political Science. I earned my law degree at the University of Notre Dame Law School (Go Irish!) and practiced real estate law with two large international law firms in Connecticut (Paul, Hastings) and in New York City (Rogers & Wells); as well as serving as in-house counsel in Virginia and Washington, D.C. As an attorney I represented many private individuals in their residential transactions, but more importantly I have bought, renovated and sold several homes of my own. I love the thrill of the hunt -- buying or selling that special property -- at the right price. In my professional life I have been described as dedicated, persistent and detail oriented. In my personal life I enjoy spending time with my partner and our terrific six year old daughter. I am a member of the Greater Portland Board of REALTORS®, the Portland Museum of Art, the Cathedral Church of St. Luke and the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust. I volunteer at Pond Cove Elementary School, the Preble Street Resource Center and Im a member of the Cape Elizabeth Planning Board. Any spare time is spent at the beach, gardening, renovating our home, reading a good book or traveling (I maintain dual U.S./E.U. citizenship). If youre looking to move to Maine, move up in Maine, or sell your Maine house let me put my passion for Maine Real Estate, my education and my experience to work for you.

I currently reside in Cape Elizabeth with my two young (energetic) boys after relocating to the area from Virginia. I, like most people "from away," came for vacation and fell in love with the lifestyle. I happily trade the long winters for a daily commute without traffic (bridge lifts aside). I hold an Associates Broker designation and recently completed the coursework for my Brokers license. I run the day to day operations in our four offices, and love the fast-paced world of high end, luxury real estate.
Business Philosophy:

I have been a resident of Maine for over 25 years, after spending my youth in Southern New England, I raised my family in Down East Maine and currently reside in the Mid Coast region.
With a long family history in boatbuilding and sailing, staying close to the water is most important to me and I feed this passion as a member and volunteer of the Maine Maritime Museum and the Southport Yacht Club. Additionally, I am an active participant in the local community as a member of the Boothbay Harbor Chamber of Commerce, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, and Lincoln County and Merrymeeting Board of Realtors.
It was multiple home renovations and my love of searching for that special property which led me into real estate. With a BS in OT from UNE & an MS in Criminal Psychology from Suffolk Univ. I spent 15 years in the fields of heath care and human service. I believe the skills gained from that experience, empathy, active listening, and attention to detail are a true asset and translate well into the real estate business.
I am most excited to be a part of Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty and am dedicated to bringing the highest quality of service and warmth to all client relationships so that the transition of buying and/or selling a property is an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

I've been in real estate for over 20 years. Formerly, I was in Washington, D.C. as legislative assistant to Congressman Stanley Tupper. Working for a congressman and learning to focus on constituents' needs was good training for real estate. This job is less about bricks and mortar and much more about human nature. It is very important to listen carefully to the client's concerns and to work diligently to make the buying or selling experience as smooth as possible. Over the years I've been fortunate to work with wonderful clients.
I have a B.A. History & Government, University of Maine.
For fun Ray and I enjoy our annual visits to Sanibel Island in Southwest Florida, and have collected more shells than we know what to do with. We also have great fun as the world's oldest "groupies" following our daughter and son-in-law's appearances with the Don Campbell Band.

I was born in Camden, which makes me officially a native and have lived in the area most of my life. I attended local schools and college in Maine before moving out West to ski for a few years. As much as I loved it, I realized that Camden, with all it has to offer was where I wanted to be. Since then, Im constantly rediscovering all the natural beauty in this area and still revel in the fact I can walk into the local market and everyone knows my name. I met my husband about the same time as I started my real estate career, and have been selling real estate for the last 12 years. We have bought, renovated and sold houses, and are always looking for another project. I live in Lincolnville with my husband and daughter, and if Im not in the office, Im sailing on Penobscot Bay looking for the perfect anchorage, hiking the Camden Hills or swimming in Megunticook Lake. Im a member of the community board of REALTORS®, the Camden YMCA, the Camden Yacht Club, a volunteer on the steering committee for Cash for Clothes and an active member in my daughters cooperative preschool. I work with both Buyers and Sellers looking to buy or sell midcoast Maine Real Estate, and I wouldnt want to be doing anything else.

Life started for me in Fairfield County, Connecticut, and through the usual paths carried me through New England in pursuit of both public and private schooling. I went on to several ill chosen jobs, food editor of a major New York press, service on both sides of the Indie film cameras, and eventually influenced by my two children, I went on to explore the world of international toy buying.
In the late eighties I summered on Monhegan Island and found that the architecture of the coast of Maine fulfilled an aesthetic desire, and since have been representing buyers and sellers in pursuit of their dreams
Recently I have been interviewed by the London Financial Times, Portland Magazine have had one of my listings as Featured Property for the New York Times and a number of my listings have appeared on HGTV.
I maintain a widely divergent real estate portfolio of high value properties that discerning clients will appreciate for their individuality and beauty.

Our family moved to Portland more than 25 years ago, and I spent many of those years successfully cajoling our 5 children into adulthood before launching my real estate career. I have a special love for antique houses that is satisfied by our Gothic Revival house in Portland's nineteenth century Western Prom neighborhood. My fascination with the history and architectural diversity in Portland led me into the Maine real estate business, which has been a full time commitment for 22 years. The challenges are always present and I value the opportunity to share my enthusiasm for our city with newcomers as well as long time residents. Taking a break from business, I am a voracious reader, a crossword puzzle addict and a novice but enthusiastic gardener. We share a home with our two mischievous terriers, Emma and Maggie, and we look forward to frequent visits from our 7 grandchildren.

I grew up in Connecticut and enjoyed the summers of my youth in New Hampshire on Lake Winnipesaukee and Lake Ossipee. Following graduation from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Resource Management I joined an international hydrogeologic consulting firm specializing in ground water exploration. The job took me to 39 states over nine years including several years in Grand Junction, Colorado as Manager of Western Operations. After nine years of traveling I again settled on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee where I founded, owned, and operated three resort gift and apparel shops for twenty years. Customer service, attention to detail, and community service were major reasons for my success in retail: the very same practices that allowed a natural transition into real estate sales and investment. I obtained both my Maine and New Hampshire Real Estate licenses in 2004, and happily divide my time between homes in Falmouth, Maine and Bear Island on Lake Winnipesaukee. I am a corporator of my bank and have been a board member of the water commission, planning board, and Chamber of Commerce. I am an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and a member of the Maine Association of REALTORS® and Portland Board of REALTORS®. I am an avid skier and boater; however, finding the time to get really, really good at fly-fishing remains elusive.

My interests and hobbies are one and the same Maine Real Estate. I have renovated 18 homes and lived in them all and In 2003 I built my first new home in Woolwich. My first commercial endeavor was the renovation of the building at 141 Maine Street in Brunswick, the home of Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty. I always think it is the last project but then I see potential and off I go again. As a Maine native from the Bangor area I have an extensive background in Maine Real Estate Management and Sales. I was an Owner/Partner in a leading Mid Coast real estate company from 1988-2006. I have served on the Merry Meeting Board of REALTORS® and as a member of the State and National Boards. I have also been a board member of the Pejepscot Historical Society and the Brunswick Village Review Board. I hold a B.A in Psychology from Smith College and am a past President of the Smith College Club of Maine.

Tobin Malone and real estate go way back. She spent many a summers afternoon tooling around in the back seat of the beach wagon in between Pine Point swims and water-skiing on Sebago, listening to her parents debate the finer points of waterfront property.
Somehow it stuck. With degrees in film and theater Malone still seemed to find her way back to business. Blame it on Hollywood. At the intersection of art and Americas leading commodity, one learns quickly that its really all about competing for material, negotiating packages, green-lighting projects and closing deals.
She still loves stories telling them, listening to them, helping them come true - theres the Irish in her blood, after all; but the business instinct is undeniable, too.
Malone has a connoisseurs knowledge of what it means to live in Maine. She understands that buying and selling homes is about far more than shelter and location and finances, although each of these is equally paramount. She treats her buyer and seller clients interests and investments as if they were her own, with an eye for detail and absolute integrity at every turn.
But what really gives her a leg up on the competition is her ability to hear the unsayable and translate it into action. You dont have to spell it out for Tobin, she gets it. She just gets it. So you can just get on with your life, seamlessly. With fewer headaches and a lot more laughs.

After a successful career in the Chicago retail market, I decided that it was time to follow my dream and move to Maine. A part of that vision was to own a Bed and Breakfast Inn. It was 1984 and "The Bob Newhart Syndrome or Wow! Wouldnt it be fun to run an Inn just like Bob? was in full effect.
For me the reality of running an Inn set in very quickly. It was a lot of fun, but it was also a business. Fortunately for me, for the most part it was a very successful business. Over the next 12 years I found myself owning five B&B properties. All of the properties were located on Mt. Desert Island, Maine. Two were in Southwest Harbor and three in Bar Harbor including my most successful venture, the Inn at Canoe Point.
During this time, I was also involved in local activities: President of the Southwest Harbor Chamber of Commerce, President of the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce (3 years), member and Chairman of the Maine Tourism Commission, President of the local Innkeepers Group, and also an active participant in both the Professional Association of Innkeepers and the Maine Innkeepers Association.
Throughout that 12-year period, I received more Inn experience than I could have possibly received by any other means. What were the positive and negative experiences of purchasing and running an Inn? This is exactly what I will impart to you from my experience. In 1993, I initiated my aspiring innkeepers seminars, Inn Your Dreams www.InnYourDreams.com.
Toward the end of my Innkeeper career and for the last 14 years Ive worked with The Swan Agency Sothebys International Realty and helped to develop its statewide Lodging Division. During that time, it was my honor to participate in the sale of over 100 of Maines finest Inns.
It is now my privilege to bring my experience to Legacy Properties Sothebys International Realty. Purchasing an Inn is much less complicated than you might imagine. As your Buyers Broker, I will be with you every step of the way from thinking about it to Inn ownership and beyond. As your Exclusive Inn/B&B Buyers Broker, I will represent you, advise you, negotiate with you and totally advocate on your behalf. I live in Falmouth with my husband and children. We enjoy outdoor activities year round, whether it is going to the beach, camping, biking, or skiing and snowboarding. The greater Portland area has all this at its fingertips and is truly a wonderful place to live.
My family has relocated four times so I understand the stresses families and individuals face while considering a move into a new community, selling their home to move on, or even a move across town. Originally from Santa Barbara, Ca, I have also lived in Colorado and Massachusetts. Committed to my communities, I have been involved with school PTO, private and Montessori school boards, Junior Womens Club, coaching travel soccer, as well as working with my local Board of Realtors on several community projects.
After practicing finance in the government and corporate sectors, I lacked the people contact I wanted so I began selling real estate. At that time, I made a pact with myself that I would provide the finest level of service to every client I was fortunate enough to serve. Many years later I am still treating each and every one of my clients as if they were my only client, its what I do best. Always going above and beyond, its about integrity, commitment, hard work, energy, experience and results. I am friendly, caring, and aggressive and just love what Im doing. I delight in hearing my clients say wow!
I am a Realtor® and nationally accredited as a Buyers Representative and a Home Marketing Specialist by the National Association of Realtors. Most importantly, I am excited about getting to know you and turning the page on this new chapter in your life!

In 1991 my husband Ron and I moved back to the U.S. from Berlin, Germany, and started a search for what we planned to be our permanent home. Nothing truly inspired us until, in the summer of 1994, we visited a restoration of the former Fort McKinley on Great Diamond Island called Diamond Cove. The moment we stepped off the boat at Diamond Cove we knew it was what we had been searching for. Soon after moving to Diamond Cove in 1996 I became the sales rep for the developers of the project and later, when the developers work was completed, I continued to handle re-sales as a licensed agent. In 2001 I had the good luck to co-broke a sale with Peter Thornton. We formed an affiliation that continues to this day, listing and selling the vast majority of available Cove properties. My knowledge and enthusiasm for Diamond Cove and Peters long experience with the local real estate market gives our clients the best possible representation; professional, reliable and responsive yet comfortable and low key. And with the recent welcome addition of Pat Kirby to our group, the service will be seamless. I have 3 daughters, a doctor, a lawyer and an airline pilot, great sons-in-law and 9 beautiful grandchildren. My husband, an Air Force veteran and former captain with Pan American World Airways restores homes here at Diamond Cove. We own a camp in Poland Spring and find that the combination of Maine lake and island ownership is perfect, especially for my husband who, having traveled the world all his life, now doesnt want to go anywhere else. Fortunately for me, I love it here.

I spent my formative years in Sudbury, Massachusetts, attending college at the University of Massachusetts / Dartmouth where I earned a BFA in Visual Design. After college, I worked for various studios and agencies in the Boston Cambridge area. From 1983-1988, I was a member of the Lettering Arts Guild of Boston, a creative guild who sponsored workshops and exhibited Calligraphic work. A highlight of this career chapter was designing business presentations for a global consulting group. This work offered extensive travel to Europe, Canada and the US. My first visit to Maine was a family vacation in Thomaston at the age of nine. Other youthful experiences included helping to build a family vacation home in Friendship and summer resort work in the Boothbay Harbor Region. I began my career in Maine Real Estate in 1997. My experience includes listing and selling waterfront, island and resort property, new construction and investment property. I have extensive relocation experience helping buyers from all over the country make their move to this great state. I am a member of the Portland Board of REALTORS® and the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®. I am a founding member of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of Portland. Outside interests include travel, cooking, golf, and religiously following all the Boston sports teams.

My real estate career experience affords me a unique depth of knowledge of the business that allows me to be a highly effective advocate for my clients. Energetic and intelligent, I have a passion for people and property.
I began my real estate career in the Sunday River / Bethel area working with clients on resort properties, primary homes, condominiums, build packages and land development. I was a top selling Broker in that area during that time. My family and I relocated to greater Portland in 2005 where I worked with RE/MAX by the Bay as a Broker and, then, worked as the Director of Training and Development assisting agents with training and education to enhance their real estate careers. I also taught real estate courses at the University of Southern Maine's Center for Real Estate Education.
I was fortunate enough to grow up dividing my time between Andover, Massachusetts, where I graduated from Phillips Academy in 1988, and Jackson, New Hampshire, where my family owned a vacation home. I am an avid alpine skier, having raced throughout my childhood and at Colby College. I am a life-long student; I attended law school, yet chose to finish my graduate work with a Master's Degree in American Studies.
I live in Cape Elizabeth with my wonderful husband and two, fantastic sons. With the beach just steps away and the mountains only a short car ride away, we take full advantage of everything that Maine and the surrounding area has to offer: nordic and alpine skiing, hiking and sailing. I volunteer in the Cape Elizabeth schools and with the community's Nordic Skiing and Boys' Lacrosse programs. I spend my free time enjoying my family and training for triathlons.

Coming from a twenty year career as a marketing manager for several international companies, I bring with me skills in writing, advertising, product promotion, design and customer service - all skills that I use daily for the benefit of my real estate clients.
Over the past twelve years my husband and I have lived in the communities of South Bristol, East Boothbay and Portland. We love boating, gardening and volunteering for many local organizations that serve the mid-coast area. We are fans of the Sea Dogs, the Portland Symphony, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, and life in Maine in general.
Business Philosophy:
My philosophy of real estate ( and life, for that matter) is to make it fun and satisfying. For most of us, a real estate purchase or sale is a significant and infrequent event where the stakes are high, both emotionally and financially. As a Realtor (R), I make it my job to take the stress out of the process by giving clients a clear view of the market, offering sound advice that is grounded in experience, and communicating well and often.

Jackies been a broker for 20 years, so shes completely comfortable with the real estate process. She also knows houses. She has bought, renovated and resold houses in Massachusetts. And she worked in a family business, selling new construction. I know what to do to sell a house! she says. Theres more to it than pricing it right. I look at houses and see how to highlight whats beautiful about them. Jackie having run an art gallery on Islesboro now resides in Rockport. I think what I bring to my job is a comfort level, she says, knowledge, sincerity and stick-to-it-ive-ness. (Is that a word?). Im happy in my work and in my life, and that gives clients a feeling of being at ease. Her life is busy with three children, but art is still a huge part of it, and she loves to golf, cook and kayak. She has a passion for Maine Real Estate that is unparalleled.

Maine
worth a visit
worth a lifetime. My ongoing love affair with Maine began four decades ago. While living in Pacific Heights, I met and married my Native Mainer husband Michael. Instead of leaving my heart in San Francisco, I followed it to the Coast of Maine. Adaptability has always been a priority in our lives as Michaels career required numerous transfers around the country. The one constant factor in our lives has been Maine. Our family summered every year on the Southern Maine Coast with our two sons no matter where our primary residence was at the time. My real estate career began in Saddle River, NJ in 1986 and the intuition that I would practice Maine Real Estate someday proved to be correct when we made Kennebunkport our permanent residence. I combine my first hand experiences as a corporate wife with compassion and understanding of the challenges faced by my clients during the relocation process whether around the globe or down the street. The thrill of sharing Maines gorgeous real estate with my clients is the ultimate reward. Legacy Properties Sothebys International Realty allows me to do precisely that. The presentation of incredible tools and global networking affords me the opportunity to engage every effort in order to exceed my clients expectations. I invite you to contact me. You wont be disappointed!

My love affair with Maine began with a summer job at a lobster pound on Wells Beach during my college years at Miami University of Ohio. After moving to Falmouth almost 20 years ago, my husband and I quickly learned the joys of our home overflowing with visiting children and summer guests who never tire of sharing our favorite delights backyard lobster bakes, blue berry picking, ferry boat rides to explore the islands, Ogunquit summer theater and of course, exhilarating year-round beach walks with our 2 golden retrievers.
My professional career transitioned from being a successful business consultant for a big-five firm, to passionate involvement with real estate. I am especially knowledgeable about home building from concept to construction and have built and/or renovated 7 homes in both Hilton Head, SC and Maine over the last 15 years.
My style is highly collaborative and I have nurtured a vast network of relationships with architects, builders, designers, landscapers, interior decorators and other brokers. All of these valuable relationships contribute to my own resources and provide support to my clients when they need assistance in the broad range of issues involved with buying and selling homes. I love our state of Maine the hidden gem and am delighted to be part of the Legacy Properties Sothebys International Realty team as we strive to raise the bar for highest levels of customer service.

Growing up in the small Maine coastal town of Cape Elizabeth, I couldnt wait to get away and see other parts of the world. After four years at an out of state college and a summer abroad, I realized Maine truly was the one-of-a-kind place I was happiest to call home. I returned soon after college, married here, and my husband and I are now raising our three sons in the same town in which I grew up. My professional background is in communications: I graduated from Syracuse Universitys S.I. Newhouse School of Communications and spent 15 years freelancing for some of New Englands largest companies. I am a member of the Portland Board of REALTORS® and NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, Friends of the Childrens Museum of Maine, the National Alopecia Areata Foundation and the Greek Orthodox Church in Portland. I also volunteer for the Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation and Pond Cove Parents Association. Family time is spent attempting to conquer the slopes of New England, cheering on our sons various sports teams, and relaxing at Pine Point Beach (while waiting for our 4, 8 and 10-year-old to pull up their five lobster traps for dinner). Whether youve lived here before and want to move back, are a newcomer hoping to call Maine home, or a Mainer looking to sell your home Id be honored to help make your next real estate transaction as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

Im a native Mainer. I grew up in the Sugarloaf/Rangeley Lakes area and, for the past twelve years, Ive called Portland Maine both my home and my playground. I enjoy renovating Maine properties -- my current home, a brick row house in the West End (which has the look and feel of Bostons Beacon Hill), is one of several that Ive renovated over the past couple of years. My interest/experience (over a decades worth) has grown from working in my familys business on high-end restoration, renovation and development projects throughout Greater Portland and Southern Maine. For relaxation I enjoy spending time with my family, fitness training and sampling the areas many great restaurants. I grew up in the Boston area and since the age of 5, spent summers at Goose Rocks Beach. I always felt Maine was home for me and in 1982, moved to Kennebunkport as a year round resident. My extensive knowledge of the local area, zoning and current market conditions gives me the leverage I need to serve my clients with the dedication and commitment they need and they deserve to make their real estate business a smooth and successful transaction. I pride myself in honest, straight-forward conversation with all my clients and believe my clients regard and respect that honest and responsive approach.
I currently serve as MSAD#71 School Board Director and have served as Kennebunkport Selectman 2001 2004 and budget board member from 1997 -2000, as well as, volunteer for Odyssey of the Mind and many school and community activities. I am a member of Kennebunkport Conservation Trust, Arundel Paddle Club, Kennebunk Portside Rotary and volunteer at Kennebunk High School and professional affiliations with York County Board of REALTORS®, NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and Accredited Buyer Representative. I have 2 teenage daughters, Nicole, a senior at Kennebunk High School, looking forward to entering college in September and Valerie a sophomore at Kennebunk High School, both are active in field hockey. Outside of real estate I share my time with my partner Alan enjoying tennis, paddle tennis, boating & fishing and walking the beach with our dog, Maizy.
I enjoy working with both sellers and buyers, so whether you are looking to sell your home, purchase a primary home or vacation home, contact me for assistance and guidance through your next real estate journey.
